It was built in 1508 for the Kremlin cathedrals which do not have their own belfries. Ivan the Great Bell Tower has 22 bells. Two large bells are the 19.6-ton Reut and the 16.6-ton Daily. Partial mug: Archangel cathedral and Ivan the Great bell tower. The Cathedral of the Archangel is dedicated to the Archangel Michael. It was constructed between 1505 and 1508 under supervision of an Italian architect Aloisio the New (the real name is not known for sure). Victories of the Russian military were celebrated in the Cathedral of the Archangel.
